Taking this photograph was the only time I've ever thought, this is not a good idea. I have been confronted several times while taking photos on the street, but on this day, I was walking with several other photographers and they didn't realize what I was photographing. The guy picked his head up and focused on me, then started screaming bloody murder. I fully expected him to run towards me, which wouldn't have been the first time, but I didn't think about the others with me. Very foolish, but that's what happens when you are not used to shooting with others.
The funny thing about this photo is the guy in the background. I don't know if his hands are on his hips because he is watching the photographer take photos of the dumpster diver or he needs to walk down the alley and is waiting for it to be a bit safer.
